We are very happy to announce the appointment of Mario Maio as Global Head of CMC at Aptuit.
Mario joins us after many years of R&D, and management & strategic experience in large pharmaceutical companies such as Roche, Merck, and Janssen. His career to date has seen him spend time in Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
He has extensive experience in formulation development, scale-up, manufacturing, quality and regulatory filings of IND/IMPD/NDAs, and has contributed to development and launch several drug delivery systems and innovative drug products.
At Aptuit, Mario will oversee and coordinate the CMC drug development function within Aptuit, including API synthesis, formulation development, drug substance and drug product GMP manufacturing, clinical supplies packaging, pharmaceutical analysis and quality control.
The author or co-author of more than 20 publications and inventor of five patents, Mario is a graduate of the University of Turin with degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Technology (1990) and in Pharmacy (1992).
